What makes it special in the Stromanthe Triostar Plant?

Triostar stromanthe is not the most difficult plant to care for, but it is known to require specific growing conditions in order to thrive. Display this species in a location with bright, indirect light, such as an east- or north-facing window.

Soil

Your Triostar needs soil that is well-draining, breathable, and lightweight. Although it needs to retain moisture, it should not be too heavy or sticky.

Water

Keeping the soil consistently moist, but not waterlogged, is preferable. In cooler climates, this plant can be kept slightly dry. Allowing only the top inch of soil to dry out before watering again usually provides the best results.

Sunlight

Placing your Triostar Stromanthe in an area with low light will give it the best chance to thrive. If it gets too much direct sunlight, it can burn the leaves. As a houseplant, prune its leaves so the plant can get more light.

Fertilizer

Feeding your Triostar a diluted, balanced fertilizer every two weeks can encourage it to thrive. Be sure the solution is not too strong or applied too frequently as this can cause root burn.
