Sthal Kamal Changeable Rose Cotton
What makes it special in the Sthal Kamal Changeable Rose Cotton
Hibiscus mutabilis, known as the Confederate rose, Dixie rosemallow or cotton rosemallow, is a plant best known for its showy flowers. Confederate rose grows as a shrub or tree in zones 9 and 10, although it behaves more like a perennial.
Sunlight
For best growth, plant your Sthal Kamal in a location that gets full sun, which means at least six hours of direct sunlight most days. The shrub can also tolerate partial shade, although the plant may not bloom as well.
Soil
This shrub can grow in most soils with good drainage. But it grows best in loamy soil rich in organic matter.
Water
While the ground-lotus can tolerate some drought, it is best to maintain a moderate amount of moisture during the growing season. A good rule of thumb is to water when the top 2 inches of soil becomes dry. A minimum of water during winter is sufficient to prevent the soil from drying out completely. Try to avoid getting the foliage wet when watering, as this can encourage fungal growth.
