Plectranthus
Plectranthus fruticosus is a shade-loving evergreen shrub with spikes of purple flowers in the summer months. As it is frost tender, you can grow it in a large container that can easily be moved indoors or outdoors when needed.
Soil
One of the essential parts of growing Plectranthus is making sure they are planted in a well-draining potting medium.
Water
Plectranthus require regular watering to thrive, about 1 inch of water per week on average. Water only after the top inch or two of soil has dried out. Be careful not to overwater.
Fertilizer
Plectranthus plants appreciate monthly fertilization during their active growth period, from spring through fall. 10-20-10 plant fertilizer should be sufficient for most varieties.
