Philodendron Golden selloum
Philodendron selloum "Gold" or "Neon" is a very handy and rewarding houseplant for both the novice and expert plant guardian! This is because these houseplants are adapted to different conditions.
Simple Maintenance Suggestions
Philodendron requires regular pruning to promote growth.
If your Philodendron selloum outgrows its pot, it's best to repot it in the spring.
Rotate the philodendron regularly to maintain balanced growth on all sides.
Clean leaves with a soft, damp cloth for healthy foliage.
Because your plant prefers warm temperatures, please keep it away from windows and away from the cold.
Soil
Use a well-draining potting mix, such as our Aroid Potting Mix, which contains some coco coir, bark, and perlite. You can also grow philodendrons in a soilless mix such as sphagnum moss and perlite for hydroponics.
Water
Water the plant when the top soil in the pot (1-2 inches) feels dry to the touch. Never overwater the plant.
Light
A minimum of 1-3 hours per day, preferably morning sunlight, is suitable for the plant, as is natural, indirect bright light throughout the day.
Fertilizer
Fertilize the philodendron plant once a month during the main growing season (April–August).
