Petunia (SGL) Dreams Burgundy Picotee -HY

Stunning Merlot-colored Burgundy with white margin frills. Dreams can be solid in color or have contrasting color edges, sprigs, or stars in addition to a wide range of vibrant colors.

Your petunia plants should be placed 6 to 8 inches apart and will heighten to 10 to 14 inches. Petunias can withstand both the chilly conditions of mid- to late-winter and the hotter conditions of late summer.

Light winter won't kill them, but the blossoms will turn brown.

Petunia plants, though, will perish in severe winters. All Dream types of flowers within 7 days of one another when sown at the same time, earning them a reputation for having a small window of bloom time in packs.

The Dreams are also grandifloras with up to 3-1/2" flowers.

Flowering Type: Long Day Plant – long days required for flowering.

Specific Flowering Mechanism: Flowering is affected by day length and temperature.

Media: • pH: 5.5 – 5.8

Light: Light is necessary for germination. Provide a light source of 10 – 100-foot candles (100 – 1000 lux) if utilizing a chamber.

Moisture: Saturated (5) for days 1 – 3. On days 4 – 6 reduce moisture to wet (4).

commencing on day 7, further cut back to medium

Humidity: 100% until radical emergence then reduces to 40%.

Dehumidify: Provide horizontal airflow to help the media dry out through evapotranspiration, allowing more oxygen to reach the roots.

Temperature: (22° – 24°C) until radicle emergence. Gradually reduce to (16° – 19°C) as cotyledons expand.

Finish Bulking/Flower Initiation –

For the root to reach the container's edge and for the plant to become receptive, ideal conditions must be present throughout the vegetative phase, which starts at transplant.
