Where to Plant            - Deep Water (8-30 Inches)

When grown in direct sunlight, waterlilies produce their largest and most colourful blossoms. The second shelf of your pond, assuming it was built by Splash, is the ideal depth for them to be submerged, but they can normally function just well in any depth between 8 and 30 inches.

Every three to four weeks during the growing season, an established lotus plant can be fed.

The developing tip and new growth can be harmed when inserting fertilizer tabs, so care must be given.

It's critical to prevent freezing of the Lotus roots.

If the depth of the pond is below your region's freeze line, lotuses can overwinter there.

The yellow foliage should be removed in the late fall, and the plant should be lowered to the pond's deepest area.

Alternately, after the plant has died back in the fall, you can lift the tubers.

Until late spring, if you lift the tubers, keep them in a cool, frost-free spot.

Special feature

The plant survives in native plant gardens, shade gardens, woodland gardens, or wild/naturalized areas, naturalize in moist soils in shaded places. Additionally thrives in shady regions of rock gardens or along the banks of ponds or streams.

Ornamental Use

The plant is used as a decoration.

It is typically kept outside in a pond.
