Loropetlum
Southern China and SE Asia, including Japan, are the original home of the Chinese Fringe Flower. It is grown in gardens as a plant.
The Chinese fringe flower is also known as loropetalum chinense. Evergreen loropetalum chinense with branches forming a horizontal layer.
The leaves are oval, up to 5 cm long and 3.5 cm wide, alternately oriented, and have a light abrasive texture.

Planting and care
To maintain a lower size, the plants may be trimmed.
Early spring (March to May) pruning, and a small amount of slow-release fertilizer used around the same time will improve the health of the plants.
Site in a fertile, humus-rich, moist, but well-drained soil with some shade.
Loropetlum care
Japan, China, and the Himalayas are the native habitats of loropetalum plants. The plants can grow up to 10 feet tall, although they're usually just little 5-foot trees.
It is simple to grow plants in full sun to partial shade with average, medium moisture, well-drained soil. In full sun, blossoming is at its best. For the deepest foliage color, L. chinense grows best in fertile, slightly acidic soil in full sun.
