GREEN STAR GLADIOLUS – PACK OF 5
Gladiolus is botanically called Gladiolus communis or Gladiolus italica and belongs to the family Iridaceae. It is commonly called Sword Lily owing to its appearance. A wide range of several other species of the crop is also available worldwide. The plant's basic features include sword-shaped flowers of various colours ranging from yellow to white, red, and pink. The Green Star Gladiolus plant usually grows between a height of 3 to 5 feet and the flowers are bright Lime Green in colour.
WEATHER REQUIREMENTS: The plant demands well-drained, moist soil. The plant cannot tolerate clay soil. Gladiolus flowers are generally shed off during the winter months of December to February. However, they bloom the best during the late Summer (June-July) to the early Autumn (September-October) season. It requires direct sunlight for 4-5 hours a day.
HOW TO PROPAGATE GLADIOLUS BULBS: The bulbs are sown at 3-4 inches deep in the soil bed with a spacing of 30×20 cm between two consecutive rows and the same bulbs in a row. As the plant prefers a moist soil surface, regular watering of the plants should be done. Dried bulbs can be stored in a cool space for future use.
