In the papaveraceae poppy family, Lamprocapnos spectabilis, also known as the bleeding heart or Asian bleeding-heart, is a species of flowering plant that is indigenous to Siberia, northern China, Korea, and Japan.
Despite being the only member of the monotypic genus Lamprocapnos, it is still frequently referred to by its former name, Dicentra spectabilis (now listed as a synonym). For its heart-shaped pink and white flowers, which are prized in gardens and floristry.
