Banyan tree Bonsai
Banyan tree Bonsai
Ficus is a pan-tropical genus of trees, shrubs, and vines that inhabits a wide range of ecological niches. The majority of these species are evergreen, but some deciduous species are endemic to higher elevations and regions outside of the tropics.
Common Name - Ficus
Maximum Height -. up to 2 feet
Bloom Time - The flowers are inconspicuous, and the plants are grown mainly for their foliage
Difficulty Level - easy to medium
Sunlight - Most Ficus trees enjoy bright indirect or filtered light with variegated varieties happily able to take medium light.
Bright, direct light may result in scalding of the leaves and leaf loss.
Watering - Always examine the soil's surface before watering.
Do not water plants if the top of the soil is wet because this indicates that they have enough moisture.
They require water if the surface of the soil seems dry to the touch.
Soil - Rich, humus and well-drained soil.
Temperature - Ficus trees also cannot tolerate low temperatures or drafts.
Fertilizer - Begin the growing season by feeding slow-release pellets. In the spring and summer, fertilize once a month; in the fall and winter, fertilize once every two months with vermicompost.
Banyan tree Bonsai special feature
- The majority of Ficus bonsai trees have the ability to grow aerial roots in their natural environment, which are frequently displayed in attractive bonsai creations with numerous aerial root pillars or root over rock styles.
- Our homes need to be artificially humidified to a level close to 100% in order to support aerial root growths.
