 Avocado Grafted (Butter Fruit) Plant


Avocados are tropical fruits that resemble pears in appearance. When compared to other fruits, these ones are a good provider of nutrients.

The avocado tree, or Persia americana, is indigenous to South Central Mexico and is a member of the Lauraceae genus of flowering plants. Additionally, the term "avocado" (sometimes known as "alligator pear") refers to the fruit of the tree.

In some parts of India, it is referred to as butter fruit.

  • Your present pH level will be revealed by an accurate soil test. Applying finely ground limestone to combat acidic (sour) soil and ground Sulphur to treat alkaline (sweet) soil

 

Sunlight               - avocado loves to grow in full sun and it requires 5 to 6 hours of bright sunlight regularly.

Watering             - water your avocado plant twice or thrice every week when the plant is young.

Soil                         -   This plant requires well drained soil. Soil potting mixture for this plant should generally contain 40 % cocopeat, 40 vermicompost and 20 % local garden soil

Temperature             -    20 to 30 degrees C

Fertilizer             -   Apply any organic fertilizer

Harvest Season -   November to February
