Planting and care
- Using a mechanical tiller, cultivate the asparagus bed's soil to a depth of 1 foot.
- The tilled soil should be covered with 2 inches of organic compost before being tilled again to a depth of 1 foot.
- If necessary, uniformly spread the recommended amount of lime over the tilled soil and till it once more to a depth of 4 to 5 inches.
- Irrigate the soil to a depth of 8 inches, until it is moist.
Sunlight - full sun for about 4 to 5 hours.

Soil - This plant requires well drained soil. Soil potting mixture for this plant should generally contain 40 % cocopeat, 40 vermicompost and 20 % local garden soil
