Plants to grow in monsoon season

The Monsoon season happens to fall between the month of July to August in India  , monsoon along with it brings winsome things to cherish . The pleasant weather sparks new lives in plants after summer heat and brings greenery all around .  The monsoon season also calls for a right time to start gardening for all the people who are penchant for gardening .Here  are some list of plants which you can grow this monsoon to make it a season to remember  -

                   

 

  • Hibiscus

Hibiscus is a flowering plant grown widely across different regions of the world .  The plant grows quite well in rainy season that will give your garden a winsome look . They are recognized mainly by their trumpet like shape and dainty petals . The hibiscus   plant can grow up to a height of 15 feet  .  Blooms can be of white , red , blue or purple color .

Use – All parts of hibiscus plants have got its uses starting from leaves and petals both are used to treat different disease including cancer and B.P

It’s cool  , acidic flavor is widely recognized and has made it a staple of ‘zinger’ types tea in United States . Also its root has been used as a tonic for treating some inflammatory disease .

  • Jasmine

Jasmine is a native of tropical and warm temperate region . It is widely cultivated for its characteristic white flowers and fragrance which attracts bees . Jasmine is a genus of shrubs and vines it can be easily grown in a pot , hanging basket or directly on ground . Particularly in monsoon season its fragrance along with weather created due to rain gives a sense of happiness to gardener .

                       

  • Gulmohar

One of the oldest ornamental plants to be planted is gulmohar , it can be easily seen during monsoon season with its vivid bright red and orange flowers . It can easily grow up to  a height of 30-40 feet it also develops broad umbrella shaped crowns during maturity period .
