Snake Plant- Indoor Air Purify House Plant
The air quality in India is poor and it has been associated with a number of health issues including heart disease, asthma, and COPD. One way to reduce air pollution is by growing indoor plants. Studies have shown that the presence of plants in a room can reduce indoor pollutants.
Indoor plants are more beneficial to your health than outdoor plants because they are able to remove chemicals from the air which outdoor plants cannot. Another benefit of indoor plants is that they don't require any maintenance and you can grow them anywhere, even if you don't have a green thumb! Indoors, green plants can help purify the air by removing harmful chemicals from the air. Indoor plants can also help with allergies and asthma by absorbing some of the chemicals in the air. They also help with decorating your home and improve your mood.
They are easy to grow and require little care, but there are a few things you should know about them.
Soil-
Snake plants prefer well-drained soil that is acidic to neutral. They are tolerant of water shortages and can be overwatered occasionally.
Water-
Snake plants like soil that is moist but not wet. They do best in filtered light and should not be grown in direct sunlight. Water the plant regularly, but do not over water.
Light-
They are popular with gardeners because they grow well in low-light environments and can tolerate drought conditions.
Propagation-
Propagation is easy with snake plants. You can start new plants from cuttings taken from healthy plants. Make a small cut just below a leaf node and insert the cutting into moist soil.
