- Sunflower – Sunflower are tall , annual and perennial flowers with characteristic bright yellow petals which attract birds . In winter season particularly when they are on long migration seeds of sunflower act as fuel source for them . Also when your sunflower stops flowering instead of throwing it can act as a source of natural birdfeeder in your garden as birds loves to feed on the seeds present at the centre . Blue , blackbirds and humming birds visit on sunflower .
- Marigold - These vibrant annuals blooms for entire summer are rich in nectar and grows to about 6 inches to 3 feet in height , however birds directly do not get attracted to marigold some particular insects get attracted to marigold due to which insectivorous birds visit the flower plant.
- Berries - Fruiting plants like blackberries, mulberries, raspberries, and blueberries attract fruit eating birds . Birds visit such plants or trees to enjoy the fruit and insects that reside on that . This includes birds like golden – crow sparrows , orioles , and waxwings .
