How to Grow Bat Lilies Indoors
Black Bat Lilies are one of the most delicate flowers that you can grow indoors. They need a lot of light, but they will also need a lot of humidity to thrive. Bat Lilies are a great plant to grow because they are beautiful and they also require little care. The only problem is that they are not able to survive if you don't have a lot of light or humidity. So, if you're looking for a plant to bring life into your room, Bat Lilies are the perfect choice!
Bat lilies Care
Soil
Growing Tacca bat flowers requires well-drained soil and should be kept slightly moist at all times. The soil should be light and retain moisture but never allow it to become soggy. Try making your own potting mix by adding perlite and vermiculite to peat moss (used for firewood).
Water
In summer, water them regularly, but in winter, especially when it is cold, let them dry out a bit. Fertilize frequently and sparingly during the growing season. Bat lilies plants require high humidity to grow at their optimum level.
Light
Bat lily flower needs indirect light in a shady location. When growing bat flowers indoors, give the plant northern, eastern, or western partial shade. Grow black bat plants outdoors as summer patio plants because tropical understory plants place them near trees or walls to protect them from direct sunlight.
Fertilizer
Feed the bat lilies plant every two weeks during the growing season with a balanced liquid fertilizer at 1/3 strength or use a slow-release fertilizer.
Note: During the winter months, stop watering and let the plant rest. It is also important to give them a "warm" shade with high humidity.
