Pansies are colorful flowers with "faces". A popular cold season, Violet is great for spring and autumn gardens! Here's how to plant a violet and grow it and bloom.

About pansies

Pansies have heart-shaped, overlapping petals and one of the widest ranges of bright, beautiful colors and patterns.

Great for pots, for edges and as a ground cover plant, it is a popular flower for reliable coloring in some areas almost all year round. Pansies look beautiful on their own in a monochrome pattern or in mixed colors; It's also nice to see when it is planted with other flowers in the cold season, such as violets, primroses, lingering lobelias and sweet alzys.

Pansies Annual or perennial flowers?

Pansy can be considered an annual or perennial, depending on your climate. However, most gardeners consider this plant to be annual, as it avoids colder weather and is longer in the summer heat. There has not been much success in making pansies that can withstand the heat enough to withstand hot weather.

However, pansies can shock in cold weather. They can withstand colds, even from a single-digit temperature. When the flowers dry in the cold, the plants always stay alive to bloom again, making them a good flowering plant for autumn and early winter.

Where to plant pansies

Plants in moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil.

Pansies like full or partly sunny weather, but they need lower temperatures to bloom. A good area for planting will have the morning sun, but avoid the afternoon heat.

Place the plants about 7 to 12 inches apart. They spread about 9 to 12 inches and grow to a length of about 6 to 9 inches.
