Alocasia Amazonica polly

Araceae is the family that includes the well-known and beautiful hybrid plant known as Alocasia Polly (Alocasia x amazonica). Dramatic, glossy, deep-green foliage with light-green to cream veins and serrated leaf edges are a feature of Alocasia Polly.

It grows up to 2 feet tall and wide when mature, which is a very moderate growth habit for alocasias.

Alocasia is a genus of perennial, rhizomatous, flowering plants that are endemic to the tropical rainforests of SouthEast Asia, India, and the Southern Pacific Islands and thrive in warm, humid conditions. They are also sometimes referred to as "Elephant Ear plants."

Because of this, providing this tropical plant with growing conditions that are as close to the rainforest as is practicable is part of effective Alocasia Polly plant care.

Growing Problems

Other growing problems aren’t caused by pests or disease, but rather by poor growing conditions resulting in a sick plant.

Just giving it a more nurturing environment can restore it to health.
